Swiss Swatch will release the watch operating system

Although the market for smart watches is not as good as expected, American Pebble companies even suddenly “die”, but the appearance of smart watches still vibrate the traditional watch industry. Swatch group (Swatch), a Swiss watch maker, said on Thursday that it would develop its own smart watch operating system and compete with Google, apple and other manufacturers, according to the latest news.

According to reports, Swatch group said it will work with the Swiss electronics and micro technology center to jointly develop a dedicated operating system for smart watches. Swatch chief executive Hayek (Nick Hayek) told the media that the biggest feature of the system is safety and low power consumption.

At present, the biggest weakness of smart watches is its endurance and daily charging, which also dispel the enthusiasm of consumers to purchase smart watches. In the Swiss traditional watch industry, companies have unique experience in developing small, low – power watches, and Swiss watches are more independent and cheaper, Hayek said.
